Welcome, International Students!
We are thrilled to welcome you to the Graduate Program in Neuroscience (GPN) at UBC and to this dedicated webpage for our international trainees. Here, you’ll find valuable resources tailored to support your journey as an international student, including archived editions of our International Trainee Newsletters filled with updates, opportunities, and tips to help you thrive.
We encourage you to explore the International Students Acceleration and Advising Committee (ISAAC) webpage. ISAAC is committed to empowering international trainees, providing guidance, and ensuring your transition and experience in the program are as smooth as possible. Among other initiatives, ISAAC adjudicates applications for International Student Hardship Funds within the GPN, providing critical support to those who need it. Visit the ISAAC webpage to learn more about this and other resources available to you.
For broader questions about life as an international student, UBC’s International Student Advising Office is an excellent resource. Their team of Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultants (RCICs) and Regulated International Student Immigration Advisors (RISIAs) is here to assist with immigration-related inquiries and offer advice to enhance your overall UBC experience.
We are here to support you every step of the way and look forward to seeing you flourish in our vibrant international community!
