Research Interests

Dr. Kastrukoff has been actively involved in research in relation to MS.  This includes basic research into innate and adaptive immune responses to viruses as well as the development of an animal model of virus induced central nervous system demyelination.  He has also undertaken research in human immunology and multiple sclerosis particularly T-cell responses and most recently NK or natural killer cell responses.  Dr. Kastrukoff has also been involved in a number of clinical trials for multiple sclerosis including the pivotal trials of interferon in MS.
